Shizuko Lily Yamauchi, 94-year-old Hawaii-born Nisei, passed away peacefully at her residence in Torrance on July 2, 2012. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 12, at 5:30 PM at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., Los Angeles.
Predeceased by her husband, Shoan Yamauchi, and brothers, Patrick, Eugene, and David Arakaki; Shizuko is survived by her son, Jon (Yoko) Yamauchi; daughter, Carolyn Yamauchi-Wong; grandchildren, Jennifer, Danielle, Jason, Romi Yamauchi, Tiffany Taise, Ashley, Courtney and Kacey Wong; great-grandchildren, Dylan Kaupla and Sophie Olmedocolor; sisters, Violet Chena, Nancy Goya both of Hawaii; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
