Shizuko Y. Hayashibara, 88, of Hacienda Heights passed away on July 14th. She is survived by her children, Teri and Todd, grandson Kyle, sister-in-law Ritsuko, nieces and nephews.
Born in Los Angeles, California, she and was a resident of Los Angeles County her entire life with an interruption during her family's internment during WWII. As a young child, Shizuko attended Maryknoll Church Catholic School, which helped guide her Catholic faith. She attended Dorsey High School where she joined an all-girls club whose members became her closest friends for life. The gals continued to gather once a year well into their 80s. As an adult, Shizuko attended LA City College to become a medical transcriptionist. She was introduced to her late husband of 38 years, Reynold, through a mutual college friend.

In light of current times, a private service with her immediate family will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
