Funeral services for the late Shitone "Toni" Uyeda (nee Iwasaki), 90 year old, Terminal Island, CA born resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on February 8, 2016 after a prolonged illness, will be held on Thursday, February 18, 11 a.m. at Rolling Hills UMC 26438 Crenshaw Blvd., Rolling Hills Estate, CA 90274 with a burial immediately following at Green Hills Memorial Park.
Shitone is predeceased in death by her husband Shiro Uyeda, parents Denjiro and Hisano Iwasaki, and brothers, Noburo "Nob" and Tomotsu "Tom" Iwasaki; Shitone is survived by her loving daughter, Christine; sister, Emi Kato; nephews, Stewart and Bruce Kato; she is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of koden, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Los Angeles in Shitone's name.
