Shiro James Musha was born on February 1 st , 1940 in Tokyo, Japan. He grew up in a household of ten family members, including four brothers and four sisters. While in Japan, he graduated from Hosei University, worked as a salary man at a pharmaceutical company, and also sold cameras as a camera salesperson.

He immigrated to the United States in the early seventies. In 1977, Shiro married his wife, Shoko. He raised his family in the San Fernando Valley where he worked as a gardener and a pool man.

In Los Angeles County, he served as chairman in several Japanese community-related organizations: Samurai Golf, Venice Karate Club, Sun Valley Japanese Community Center, Kyodo System Junior High School System, Karaoke Club, and Sun Valley Japanese Center computer class.

Shiro's passions were karaoke, golf, fishing, and jewelry. On December 23rd, Shiro passed away at his Van Nuys residence due to complications related to Alzheimer's. He is survived by his wife, Shoko, son, Masashi, and daughter, Hiromi, son-in-law, Jeff, and granddaughter, Penelope.
