Shingo William Shibata

June 26, 1942 - February 20, 2019

Shingo William Shibata passed away on February 20, 2019 at the age of 76. The son of Hiroshi and Fumiko Shibata, William was born on June 26, 1942 at the Santa Anita Assembly Center in Arcadia, Calif. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Keiko (Saito), they spent their days together traveling and enjoying life when he wasn't out gardening, fishing and taking walks with his cup of coffee.

William is predeceased by his parents and brother Robert; and survived by his loving wife of 50 years Keiko; children Aileen, Mitchell (Cynthia) and Katrina; grandchildren Adalynn and Liam; and extended family in the U.S. and Japan.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Fukui Mortuary, 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles. CA

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Long Beach Buddhist Church, 2360 Santa Fe Ave., Long Beach., CA.

Burial Service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes., CA.
