Obituary
Shimpei (Sam) Yamazaki passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife Sueko Yamazaki; children Yumi Mercier and Shinya Yamazaki; grandchildren Emiko and Keiden Mercier; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
His wife Sueko would like to thank all the relatives, friends and colleagues who came to the family home during the last few months. Shimpei was surrounded by love and friendship during his battle with cancer.
A private service was held on February 21 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Bishop Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.
