Obituary
Shikako Mary Sogabe, 102-year-old, Wakayama Japan-born, resident of La Mirada peacefully passed away at UCI Douglas Hospitalon December 5,2023.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bishop Ryosho Sogabe; She is survived by her loving family; son, Takafumi (Sue) Sogabe, daughters, Tayemi (Ernie) Ukkestad, Yumiko (Albert) Kakita, Cynthia (Gene) Tsukamoto, Janie (Noel) Skippon; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral & Interment service will be held at Koyasan Buddhist Temple at 10:00
a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, Bishop Yuju Mastumoto officiating.
