Obituary
Shika Akiyoshi, 88, born in Oxnard, CA and a resident of Montebello, passed away on November 2, 2011 after a battle with pneumonia and congestive heart failure.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Shika was preceded in death by her husband, Tick. She is survived by her sons Michael (Danice), David (Ann), Mark (Stella Jo), daughter Donna (Dean Regier), grandsons Kevin, Trevor, and Justin; sister Hisa (Tek Takasugi), and her devoted caregivers Arlene Matias and Mercy Genolaga.
Services will take place on November 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Montebello Plymouth Church, 144 S. Greenwood Ave., Montebello. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hills.
