MR. SHIGETOMO "SHIG" KATAYAMA, 81, Los Angeles, CA born Nisei, resident of Arcadia, passed away on June 23.
Private family funeral services were held on Thursday, June 28, at Centenary United Methodist Church, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
The family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Japanese American National Museum, 369 E. 1st St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
He is survived by his wife, Sang Eun Katayama; daughters, Nancy Katayama and Tracy (Chris) Katayama Esse; step-daughter, Diana Lee; granddaughter, Olivia Esse; grandson, Ross Esse; brother, Tetsuo (Tomiko) Katayama and sister, Kinu Koga of Las Vegas
