Obituary
MR. SHIGEO YAMASHITA, 87, Veteran of WW II, Los Angeles, CA born Nisei, resident of Monterey Park, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hideko Yamashita; loving son, Richard (Genie) Yamashita; loving daughters, Cynthia Saxton, Patricia Yamashita and Caroline (Eiji) Kawashima of San Francisco; 7 loving grandchildren; sisters Rosemary Furuta and Betty (Tad) Fujii; many nephews and nieces and relatives.
Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 22, from 11:00AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 222 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles.
The family requests that in lieu of the flowers please make donations to St. Francis Xavier Church or Keiro Retirement Home.
