Family services for the late Shieji Yoneda, 81-year-old Wakayama-Ken-born resident of Monterey Park who passed away on March 7 at his residence, were held on March 11 at Fukui Mortuary Chapel with a minister from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Techi Yoneda; son, Shigeyoshi (Tanya) Yoneda; daughters, Keiko (Yasumasa) Awata of Japan and Michiko (Kazu) Suruki of San Francisco; grandchildren; and sisters, Fumiko (Henry) Shido and Akiko (Sadaji) Kashiwagi, the latter of Japan.
