Funeral services for the late Shigeichi Jack Yamashita, 90-year-old Honolulu, Hawaii-born Nisei residing in Torrance (former resident of Pasadena) who passed away on May 27 at the Little Company of Mary Hospital, will be held on Friday, June 2, 10:30 a.m. at Fukui Mortuary Chapel, 707 E. Temple St., L.A., with Rev. Shinji Okada of Pasadena Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Fumiye Margaret Yamashita; daughters, Sally (Dennis) Kira and Mary (Toshio) Kuwahara; grandchildren, Matthew Kira, Tiffany Kuwahara and Nicki (Jon) Kuwahara-Suzuki; son-in-law, Robert Wilson; niece, Helen Hamaguchi; and other relatives. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
