Funeral service for Sawa Maki 90-year-old resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on May 11, 2009, will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 6:00 PM at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., Los Angeles.
She is survived by her sons, Yuichi (Doris) and Kenji (Debbie) Maki; daughters, Saeko (Tom) Kimura and Tamiko (Tsugiyo) Mikasa; grandchildren, Bryan (Miwa) Kimura, Elaine Kimura, Anne (Neil) Susman, Mark Mikasa, Alissa (Blaine Johnson) Maki, Erik Jordan Maki, Stacy Maki, Steven Maki and Shaun Maki; great grandchildren, Robert Kimura, Lauren Kimura, Kaitlyn Susman, Connor Susman, Lucas Mikasa; brother, Nobuo (Dorothy) Yamashita; sister, Mary Takako Saito; also survived by many other relatives.
