MR. SATORU OKAMOTO, 82, Kauai HI born Nisei, Veteran of the US Marines, resident of South San Gabriel, passed away on July 25, 2013.
Our Dad was quiet and humble, and his tastes were simple. He was a wonderful father who taught us to be kind, moral and responsible people.
Our dad was enjoying his retirement. He loved to bet on the horses at Santa Anita Racetrack, and liked to play Keno on his monthly trips to Las Vegas.
Our Dad requested not to have a memorial service. He simply asked to be cremated, and his ashes scattered in the Pacific, to drift to Kauai, his island home.
We honor our Dad, his love, memory, and wishes. Whenever you are at the beach, please step into the tide and remember him.
He is survived by his loving family; son, Brian Okamoto; daughter, Charlene (Steve) Hill; sisters, Toshie Fujikawa and Itsue Kanemura;
Also survived by his niece and nephew, Karen and Kevin Kanemura.
