MR. SAM K. TANAKA, 100, Kekaha, Kauai, HI born Nisei, resident of Whittier who passed away on January 3, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Setsu Tanaka; daughters, Teiko (Leo) Martinez and Amy Miyano; grandson, Anthony (Karen) Martinez; granddaughter, Melani GildeMontes; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Tome Okamura of Hawaii.
Private family graveside service was held on Thursday, January 12, at Rose Hills Memorial Park, with Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating.
