Dr. Shigekawa passed away peacefully at Hollenbeck Palms in Los Angeles. She was the beloved sister, aunt and doctor to generations of patients.
She is survived by her brother, Satsuki Shigekawa and sister, Masako Katow; nieces, Jean Katow, Janet Shigekawa Nakamaru; nephews, William Yamada, Philip Shigekawa and their families.

At her request, there will be no funeral. She will be buried at sea off the coast of her beloved California.
