Obituary
Funeral services for the late Sadako Akune, 84-year-old Kagoshima-Ken-born resident of Los Angeles who passed away on December 21 at St. Vincent Medical Center, will be held on Saturday, December 30, 11 a.m., at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., L.A., under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Mariko, Irene Reiko and Christine Hiroko Akune (Akio Suzuki), the latter of Japan; three grandchildren, Chihiro Stacey, Satomi Lynne and Nobuaki Brent Suzuki, all of Japan; brothers, Kenichi (Yoneko) and Joji Mieko Aihoshi, both of Japan; sister, Kumiko (Yasunori) Wada, also of Japan; and many other relatives in Japan, the U.S. and also in Argentina.
