Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother Sachiye "Sachi" Suzuki of North Hollywood passed away peacefully on December 31, 2015 at the age of 98.
She is predeceased by husband Junichiro Nagabe; beloved husband of 32 years, Kishu Suzuki; daughter Joyce (William) Yamamoto; stepdaughters Masako (Roy) Tanimine, Fumiko (Tom) Moriyama, and Shigeko (Ryo) Kashiwage; siblings Katsumi, Mieko, Yoshiko, Masatoshi, Kenichi "Roy" Tahara, and Toshiko "Tosh" Kitano.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Nagabe; brother Masayoshi George Tahara; step-daughter Kimiko (Tak) Uyeno; grandchildren Christine Nomura, Roger Yamamoto, Andrew (Zoya) Yamamoto; great-grandchildren Brandon and Randy Nomura, and Alexandra and Nathaniel Yamamoto; great-great-granddaughter Alina Nomura. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at Zenshuji Soto Mission, 123 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles, CA 90012 on Sunday, January 17th, 11 A.M. with Reverend Shumyo Kojima officiating. Casual attire.
