Obituary
Sachio Kano, 80 year old Los Angeles resident passed away on November 25, 2009.
Sachio was born on January 11, 1929 in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. In 1955, he moved to the United States for graduate study at the Art Institute of Chicago. Sachio relocated to Los Angeles in 1962 to pursue careers in acting and social work. In 1971 he founded Asian Rehabilitation Service, which provides employment programs for people with disabilities. Sachio has performed in numerous television commercials, independent films and live theater.
Sachio is survived by his wife Keiko of 41 years; children, Uni, Aya, Manami and Lenn; grandchildren, Nicholas and Eliza.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 29, 2009, 5:00PM at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles. (213)617-9097.
