Sachiko Kawai Nakamura, 90 years old, born in Karafuto Prefecture (also known as South Sakhalin), resident of San Gabriel Valley, passed away on June 21, 2024. She was married to her beloved husband, Kenji Nakamura, who preceded her in death in 1994. One of Sachiko's favorite pastimes was music and singing. She could often be heard singing throughout the day at home and in the car. She loved singing in the church choir and performed in concerts and recitals with the Nagano Music Studio at the Aratani Theatre in Little Tokyo. She was actively involved at Mission Valley Free Methodist Church.

Sachiko is survived by her daughter Irene, and her son Raynold and his wife, Katie.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11 am at Mission Valley Free Methodist Church, 1201 S. San Gabriel Blvd., San Gabriel, CA 91776.
