A funeral service for the late Sachiko Murata, 96 years old,  who passed away on February 27, 2023, will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2 p.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple 505 E. Third St. in Los Angeles.  Proof of COVID-19 primary vaccinations and masks are required to attend the service.

She was born in Salinas, CA and resided in Orange County, Los Angeles, and Camarillo, CA over the years.  Predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Seiichi Murata; she is survived by children, Steven (Jeanne) Murata, Karen (Navid Dehghani) Murata M.D. and Penny Murata M.D.; grandchildren, Scott, Nicole, and Ryan Murata, and Christopher and Alexis Dehghani; siblings, May Sasao, Jean Hiraishi, Barbara Cogburn, and Seito (Nancy) Gyotoku; sister-in-law, May Gyotoku; she is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
