Obituary
A private memorial service for the late Saburo "Sam" Iwana, age 97, who passed away on May 3, 2008 at Alhambra Hospital, was held on Sat. May 10, 2008 at Fukui Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Mas Hibino of Union Church of Los Angeles officiating.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fumiko Iwana; sons, David (Iris) Iwana of Hawaii and Stanley (Diane) Iwana; grandchildren, Brian Iwana and Alyse Iwana-Keller, both of Hawaii; and brother, Shiro Iwana of Washington. Also, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers or koden, donations to Keiro Nursing Home will be appreciated in his memory.
