Private funeral services for the late Saburo Hasegawa, 85 year-old, Waipahu born, Nisei Veteran of Korean War and long time resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on December 23, 2013 were held on Friday, January 3, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rimban William Briones of Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Fatu) Tauanuu, Jo Ann Hasegawa and Carol (Gary) Tamanaha; grandchildren, Jeannie Tauanuu, Charmaine (Samy) Tadrousse, Jon Wesley Vinson and Brady Tamanaha; great-grandaughter, Nia Tadrousse; sister, Katherine (Richard) Okouchi of HI; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
