Funeral services for the late Saburo Frank Akune, 81-year-old, California born resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on September 9 at his residence, will be held on Friday, September 14, 4:00 p.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., L.A., under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

He is survived by his son, Steve (Denise) Akune; daughter, Doreen Akune; grandchildren, Erik, Jeffrey, and Stephanie Akune; brothers, Harry (Barbara), Ken (Alice), Shiro and Goro (Tamako) Akune; sister, Kikuko Ego; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
