Celebration of Life service for the late Ryoki "Joe" Tamura, 86
year-old, Redondo Beach born resident of Gardena who passed away on May 8, were held on Thursday, May 19 at Gardena Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Shiohama of South Bay Community Church Officiating.
"Joe" a veteran of WWII, was a member of the highly decorated 442nd Regiment – 100th Battalion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Toshiko Tamura; brothers, Kunima and Sueo Tamura; sisters, Emi (Frank) Yamaguchi and Nobi (John) Mitsuuchi; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
