He is survived by his wife, Shigeko Nakai; children, Setsuko (Masaru) Fujiwara, Keiko (Mark) Van Meeteren, and Diane (Paul) Matsushima; grandchildren, Glen (Mari) Fujiwara, Eric (May) Van Meeteren, Tiffany Van Meeteren; Jennifer (Art) Luna, Ryan and Kara Matsushima; Great-grandchildren, Aimi, Issey, and Kenji Fujiwara, Maddox and Malia Van Meeteren, and Kayla Luna; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
