RUTH TOSHIKO FUKUSHIGE
May 15, 1936 – February 7, 2026
Ruth Toshiko Fukushige, a long-time resident of Torrance and originally from Wailuku, Maui, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 89.
Ruth’s legacy is one of quiet devotion, warmth, and unconditional love for her Family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shoichi, her sister, Edith, and brothers, Harry “Bull”, Albert, and George. She is survived by her beloved son, Thad, and many other cherished family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10:30 am, at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 West 158th Street in Gardena, with Pastor Daniel Matsuda officiating. Casual or Aloha attire is requested.
