Ruth Shizuyu Nishimoto, 97, a Colorado born Nisei and a long-time resident of Palmdale passed away peacefully on June 1st at Antelope Valley Medical Center after a short illness. A private burial service was held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park on June 23rd, with Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her two sons, Roger and James and daughter, Shirley; sister, Sumiko Shimura in Japan; and nephew and nieces both here and in Japan.

She will always be remembered for her strength and graciousness.
