Ruth Toshiko Horibe (nee Kodama)

Ruth Toshiko Horibe, 95 years old, born in Brawley California, resident of Los Angeles passed away on October 19, 2024.

Ruth had a wonderful life and a beautiful, loving family. She loved her family, dogs and golf and was an avid Lakers and Dodgers fan. After living in El Centro California with her parents and nine siblings, her family was interned at Poston Arizona before Ruth returned to California after the war where she raised her family and lived a long and happy life.

She was predeceased by her husband Sho "Salty" Horibe.

She is survived by her children, Sandie (Don) Ito, Donna (Charlie) Mayeda, Robert (Patricia) Horibe and Debi (Bryce) Horibe-Robbins; eight loving grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy (Emiko) Kodama; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was the gem of our family and will be missed dearly.
