A private service for the late Mrs. Ruri Sugimoto, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, were held on Tuesday, March 8th at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rinban Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple and Rev. Gregory Gibbs of Pasadena Buddhist Temple officiating.

Ruri Sugimoto, a Nisei born in El Centro, CA and a resident of Pasadena, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2016. She was 90 years old.

She is survived by her husband, George K. Sugimoto; daughter, Lisa Sugimoto; son, Nathan (Christine) Sugimoto; grandchildren, Lindsay, Alyssa and Aaron Sugimoto; brother, Katz (Jeanne) Hirano; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
