Funeral Services for the late, Mr. Roy Takeshi Murakami, an 85-year-old, Sacramento, California-born, Nisei resident of Carson, former internee of Jerome and Tule Lake Relocation Camps during WWII who honorably served his country in United States Army and who passed away on March 21, 2014 will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, 10:00 AM at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166 th St, Gardena, CA.

Mr. Murakami was predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mrs. Yotsuye Murakami and his son Larry Setsuo Murakami. He is survived by his children, Karen Kazuko Capirchio and Amy Emiko (Michael) Hansen. Proud grandfather of Amanda Yuki Capirchio, Sarah Armida Martinez, Antonio Takeshi Capirchio, Michael Mikio, Brandon Takeo, Tyler Tadashi and Conner Masaru Hansen; proud great-grandfather of Kimiko Martinez; loving brother of John and Sam Murakami, Mary Wakita of WA, Joe (Katsuko), Fred (Toyoko) and Bob Murakami, Nancy (Torao) Takeuchi, Susy Tanaka, David (Charlotte) and Tom (Keiko) Murakami.Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
