MATSUMURA, ROY MASAO. Age 90. Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Passed away peacefully on June 15, 2008 at his residence in Gardena, California on Father's Day and a few days short of his 91st birthday. Roy was schooled in Japan was later interned at Heart Mountain Relocation Center. He worked for the Rafu Shimpo Japanese newspaper and then started his own business Japan Printing Company. He was buried along side his first wife Tomiko at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes. Survived by his wife Shizu Matsumura and her children Kay Shishima, Albert Yamada, Craig Yamada and Tex Yamada. Also survived by his sons Victor Matsumura, Eugene Matsumura, Mitchell Matsumura, and his sisters Bunny Ogimachi, Susan Sunada, and Yasue Ishihara. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private memorial service was held at Faith United Methodist Church in Torrance, California on June 27, 2008.
