ROY YUKITO IZUMIDA
Born Roy Yukito Izumida to Takeno Minamoto Izumida and Tadaso Izumida in Los Angeles, CA, February 22, 1924; died December 7, 2008. He is survived by his wife Kimie Yamamoto Izumida; son Brian Yukio Izumida (wife Leticia); grandsons Matthew Masayuki, Nicholas Yuki; and granddaughter Melissa Miyuki.
Roy Izumida was a landscape contractor and represented his brother Duke's(deceased) Landscape Company in the San Gabriel Valley for 53 years. He gained a reputation as being a hardworking, honest, and meticulous contractor that performed excellent work. He was well liked by family, friends, customers, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone.
Roy was an excellent bowler and golfer and a regular member of Joe's Bunch. Roy has rolled a perfect "300" and made a "hole in one"with his 6 iron.
Memorial services were held on Monday December 15, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
