Funeral services for the late Mr. Roy Tokuzo Akamine, an Okinawa-born longtime resident of Los Angeles who passed away on May 16, 2014 were held privately at Centenary United Methodist Church.

Mr. Akamine is survived by his children, Atsumi and Tatsuo Akamine, Amy (Greg) Akamine-Nicholas of Florida, Brian (Tracey) Akamine of Pennsylvania, Seijuro Akamine of Okinawa, and Jennifer (Landon) Akamine-Phillips. Proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Yuki and Umeko Akamine of Okinawa, and many other family members both here and in Okinawa.
