Private memorial services for the late Rosemary Toshiko Furuta, 99-year-old, California born long time resident of Long Beach, who passed away peacefully on May 29, 2017, were held on Sunday June 11, 2017 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Gyokei Yokoyama of Long Beach Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Shigeko Williams; sons, Chikara (Judy) and Tyrone Furuta; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
