Rose Michi Shimazu, 92-year old, Stockton CA born resident of Montebello, CA, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 28. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at the Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. First St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
She is survived by her beloved children, Harriet Akemi (Harry Takashi) Taguchi and Charlene Naomi (Hitochi) Morimoto. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Deron Katsumi Taguchi, David Takara Taguchi, Lauren Hitomi Morimoto, Cary Kazuhito Morimoto; sisters , Emi Doi and June (Mas) Imamoto; companion, Melvin Kawahara; and nieces, nephews; and other relatives.
