Rodney Akio Rikimaru 74, born in Los Angeles, Redondo Beach resident, passed away at home on June 30, 2026. He lived in Tokyo, Yokohama, Okinawa, and Oahu. He went to Kubasaki High School in Okinawa but graduated from Roosevelt High School in Honolulu. He came back to LA and graduated from UCLA. He was still working at LAX Airport Operations when he passed away.

He was survived by his sisters, Lois (Richard) Kageyama, and Jane (Gary) Rikimaru Cummings; Nieces, Anne Kageyama, and Susan (Andrew) Benninghoff;

Nephew, Ryan (Linda) Kageyama; Grand Nephew, Shawn Kageyama;

also survived by many cousins and other relatives.

A private burial service will be at Rose Hills in Whittier.
