Funeral services for Robert T. Yoshioka will be held on Saturday, September 15, at 10:00 AM at the Guadalupe Buddhist Church, directed by Fukui Mortuary.

Robert passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of August 31. He was the first born of Kishiro and Ito Yoshioka on October 25, 1912 in Waipahu Oahu, Hawaii.

During WWII, Robert joined the Army where he served with the Millitary Intelligence Service (MIS) in the Pacific. After the war, he remained in Japan with the US Occupation Forces and married Sawae Kawate in 1946. Robert continued a career in the military serving inn the Korean War and peacetime duty stations in Japan, Hawaii, Kansas and Colorado.

Robert retired from the military in 1964 and moved to Santa Maria, CA where he worked for the Civil Service at Vandenburg Air Force Base until his retirement in 1978.

Beloved husband of Sawae Kawate; father of Ben (Karen) and Carl (Audrey); grandfather of Karie, Zachary, Tracy and Jami.
