Family funeral services for Robert Teizo Sugita 84-year-old Honolulu, HI born resident of Gardena who passed away on Jan. 24, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Gardena, were held on Thursday, Feb. 3 at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Shuichi Kurai from Sozenji Buddhist Temple officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Sugita; son, Wayne (Marlene) Sugita; daughter, Joyce (Dale) Hirayama; grandchildren, Faith (Robert) Tamashiro and Robyn (Geoffrey) McDonald of WA; great grandchildren, Madison Tamashiro, Tatum Tamashiro, Cole Tamashiro and Zachary McDonald of WA; sisters, Lillian Nakano, Julia (Robert) Murakawa, Elizabeth (Akira) Horiuchi of Visalia, CA and Grace Hawley of Honolulu, HI; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives here, in Hawaii, and Northern California.
