A family memorial gathering was held for the late Dr. Richard Yukio Kodama, 81-year-old Paia, Maui, Hawaii-born Nisei and resident of Hacienda Heights who passed away on July 24.

A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II (Military Intelligence Service), he is survived by his son, Kevin (Nancy) Kodama; daughters, Karen (Nelman) Low and Carolyn (Robert) McDermott; grandchildren, Alina Chen Kodama and Ian Yukio McDermott; brother, Robert Tooru Kodama; and other relatives.
