Ray Kuniteru Mayeda, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Torrance on May 1, 2014.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Theresa Imiko Mayeda, children Grace Ann Mayeda-Cecil (Paul), Daniel Mark Mayeda (Susan Rosales) and Dean Richard Mayeda (Janet), and grandchildren Matthew Ray, Charissa Imiko and Kacey Virginia.  Ray also is survived by his sister Yoko Hashima (Ryo) and brother Frank Mayeda (Kyoko).

Ray was an auditor who, in middle age, also acquired his CPA license and prepared tax returns.  He loved to golf and swim, and to watch sports and soap operas on TV.  As a senior citizen, he taught himself about computers and even began streaming video movies in his last year of life.
