"Terry" as she was affectionally known by friends and family, passed away due to an accidental fall into the family swimming pool. She was 74 years old.
She was born in Los Angeles but spent her years after her family was sent to the Amache relocation camp during WW2, in New York City where she attended High School and eventually graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She worked as a designer for a children's clothing company until she met her future husband and married in 1958. She worked as an Office manager for her husband's display design company for nearly thirty years. She was enjoying her retirement years doting on her family, grand children and Pippi, (her best friend (puppy).
She is survived by: her husband, Takeshi ( Tak ) , her son Steven,( Cheryl), daughter, Lori and son, Mark. Grand children, Brandon, Ryan, Derek and Talia. And her brother:Nobuo Kusumi.
Final viewing to be at Fukui Mortuary on Friday, August 19 at 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 South Dale Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92804.
