Funeral services for the late Mr. Peter Yoshikatsu Mayeda, a 66-year-old, Denver Colorado-born Sansei resident of Walnut who passed away unexpectedly on August 23 were held privately on August 31, 2011 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" officiated by Rinban Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple.


He is survived by his wife, Haruko Ruby (Susumu Kono) Mayeda; children, Dina (Michael) Noguchi and Mark Mayeda; brother, Carl (Peggy) Mayeda; brother-in-law Fumio (Miyoko) Yokota; sisters-in-law, Yuki (Alan) Oshima, Eiko (Shigeo) Ishibashi. Also survived by many other relatives and his beloved pet dogs, Yoshi, Sumi, Moochi, and Katsu.
