PATRICIA (PATTI) SASAHARA , 74 passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2017. She was the eldest child of Frank and Aiko Kamada and sister to Carey Kamada who all predeceased her.

Patti was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up in Hawthorne, CA. She graduated from Leuzinger High School.  After attending El Camino College for two years, she transferred to the University of Southern California where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.  Patti enjoyed teaching throughout her life, starting at Leland Street Elementary School in San Pedro and the U.S. Military Dependent School in Hanau, Germany.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Daniel Sasahara; son Sean (Carla) Sasahara; daughter Shelley (Damon) Aldrich; grandchildren Ethan, Elijah, Autumn and Reagan. Also missing her will be brothers Curtis (JoAnn) Kamada and Kent (Janice) Kamada and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158 ^th Street, on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association and/or the American Diabetes Association in memory of Patti.
