Funeral services for the late Nobuko Ito, 87 year old Wakayama, Japan born resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on Oct. 4, 2010 were held on Thursday Oct. 7, 2010 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", with Bishop Seicho Asahi of Koyasan Buddhist Temple officiating.

Nobuko is survived by son, Ronald Yoshihiro (Lois) Ito; daughters, Yoko (Nobutaka) Ashihara of New York, Sadako (Sigmon) Whitener and Nobuyo (Mamoru) Yamasaki of Japan; grandchildren, Ichiro (Becky) Ashihara of Massachusetts, Ryan and Robert Ito, Sigmon and Kiyoji Whitener, Tetsuya, Shizuyo and Yukari Yamasaki of Japan; great-grandchildren, Nobutaka Ashihara of Massachusetts; sister, Misa Tanomoto of Japan; brothers, Norio, Hiraku and Setsuji (Ume) Tanomoto of Japan. Nobuko is also survived by many other family and friends both here and in Japan.
