Noboru Michael Kaku, born in Hilo, Hawaii and a longtime resident of Gardena, California, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021.  He was 91 years old.

He is predeceased by his wife Akemi; brothers Haruo, Hiroshi, Fukutaro, and Shoji; sisters Taeko Hirayama and Sachiko Ebesuzaki; and survived by sisters Masako Inada and Chiyoko Takaki; sons Jeffery (Diane) and Gregory (Shari); granddaughters Alison, Ashley, Kiana, Michelle, Alyssa, and Erin; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A private family funeral service was held on Saturday, April 3, at Green Hills Memorial Park graveside with Minister Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
