Obituary

Noboru Asato passed away peacefully in Torrance, CA on August 11, 2014.
He had been in declining health for the past few years.

Cherished husband of Anne Motomi; loving father of Linda H. Asato and the late Glenn H. (Anne) Asato;
grandfather of Mark and Sara Asato; Dear brother of Yoshie Betty Shimabukuro,
Edwin Isamu Asato; Miyeko Tamashiro; Misao Higa; Margaret Ikuko Kishaba, Katsumi Asato.

Born on June 16, 1928 in Hawaii, he lived in Okinawa for a short time then moved to Chicago in 1948. Noboru was the former owner of Tokyo Marina Restaurant, Matsuya Restaurant and Sango Restaurant.
He served as President and advisor of the Chicago Okinawa Kenjinkai and supported numerous Japanese community organizations. He retired and moved to California in 2009.

Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am and Memorial Services at 11:00am on
Friday, September 12th, 2014 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60657
