Obituary

A public viewing for the late Mrs. Nancy Tomiko Miya, an 85-year-old, Castroville, California-born Nisei resident of Arleta and former internee of Poston Relocation Camp during WWII who passed away on February 12, 2013 at Nikkei Senior Gardens in Arleta, CA, will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 11:30 AM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Dr., Culver City, CA. The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted.

Additional parking will be available at the Venice Japanese Community Center 12448 Braddock Dr., Los Angeles, CA.

Mrs. Miya was predeceased by her brothers, Jerry, Bill and Jim Endo. She is survived by her beloved husband, Hisami "Hisa" Miya; children, Vickie (Ronald) Nakagawa and Kirk (Kathy) Miya; grandchildren Nolan Miya, Brooke and Courtney Nakagawa and Carl Miya; siblings, Yae Nagai, Tak (Yoko) and Its Endo, Mary (Minoru) Tonai, George (Margaret) Endo, and Elinor (Mitchell) Sakado; sister-in-law, Carole Endo. Also survived by many other beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
