Nancy Chizuko Matsuda, a 92-year-old longtime resident of Montebello, California, passed away peacefully on July 12th in San Gabriel.

A private funeral service was held at Rose Hills Memorial Park on July 31st and was officiated by Rev. Jonathan Wu of Evergreen Baptist Church – Los Angeles.

Nancy was born in Los Angeles, California to Kazuma and Yukii Matsumoto. During World War II, her family was incarcerated at Poston, Arizona. She worked as a homemaker and accountant, and in her active years enjoyed volunteering for Boy Scout Troop 361, Evergreen Baptist Church, Evergreen Knights, Community Youth Council (CYC), and PTA at numerous schools.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Kenji Matsuda. Survived by her sons, Dirk "Butch" (Patsy), Russell, Keith (Kimmie), Todd (Wendy); daughter, Cindy (Mark) Tabuchi; grandchildren, Cory, Krystyna, Megan Akemi, Kaytlyn, Kyle, Connor, Trevor, Cole, and Kendall; and sister, Kayko Sonoda. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
