Myrtle Kaoanaeha Hanayo Yonamine, 91, born September 2, 1933, in Lahaina, Maui, a long-time resident of Carson, California, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 26, 2024.

Affectionately known as Granny, she is survived by her husband of 69 years, Shigeru, and her children, Collyn (Clayton) Koga, Kanani (Michael) Hays and Gary (Susan) Yonamine, along with 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 17 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her green thumb and her love of flowers. She will be greatly missed by all.

The family will hold a private service and internment. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.

The family requests no Koden or flowers.
